radikale malerei. inhalt meiner malerei ist die malerei selbst (radical painting), eine unideologische, rein aus der malerfahrung motivierte untersuchung des malens als auftrag von farbpigmenten auf oberflächen. nie arbeite ich mit industriell gefertigten farben. meine farben fertige ich mit pigmenten und dem bindemittel (acrylbindemittel) selber an. fragen beim malprozess: wie verteilt sich die farbe? welche neuen farbe bringt die zweite schicht aus der ersten hervor? welche strukturen werden sichtbar? sollen sie bleiben oder bedarf es eines revidierenden eingriffs? ist die farbmenge für die fläche richtig bemessen? nach dem trocknen der farbe fordert die nächste phase der bildherstellung neue entscheidungen in neuen prozessen, doch werden diese entscheidungen immer komplizierter, komplexer und konzentrierter.

radical painting. the content of my painting is painting itself (radical painting), a non-ideological investigation of painting as an application of colour pigments on surfaces, motivated purely by painting experience. i never work with industrially produced paints. i make my paints myself with pigments and the binder (acrylic binder). questions during the painting process: how does the paint spread? what new colour does the second layer bring out of the first? what structures become visible? should they remain or is there a need for a revising intervention? is the amount of paint correctly measured for the surface? after the paint has dried, the next phase of picture making demands new decisions in new processes, but these decisions are becoming more and more complicated, complex and concentrated.
